Why did we start Awen?
We started Awen with a singular north star: strengthen global trade by achieving zero trade finance gap. Today that gap stands at $5T. We have an opportunity to create 600 million new jobs if we unlock the full potential of global trade. An opportunity to make a difference in the lives of 600 million families. That is why we have started Awen.
With uncertain macro economic environments, global trade is more important than ever to ensure the resilience of global supply chains. We are also at a unique point in time where we can unlock asymmetric value by improving the trade finance value chain with smart contracts. From asset origination to underwriting to ease of investments, smart contracts can unlock efficiencies on both fronts: supply and demand of capital.
